MedGenome Labs Ltd. announced on May 29 that it acquired Prognosis Laboratories for an undisclosed price.
Wodehouse Capital was the exclusive financial advisor to Prognosis Laboratories. Wodehouse Capital was assisted by Khaitan & Co. as legal advisors to the undisclosed sellers.
Prognosis Laboratories is a private diagnostic center in India that has been granted permission to conduct COVID-19 tests. It also provides cardiology, radio diagnosis, pathology, infertility, ultrasonography, ECG, hematology and digital X-ray services. It was founded in 2013 and is based in Dwarka, New Delhi.
MedGenome Labs is a leading genetic diagnostics and research and data company based in India, with offices in California.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks 59th Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis transaction of the year, 29 of them in the diagnostics subsector. This transaction is MedGenome’s first acquisition since it purchased Trident Diagnostics & Healthcare Pvt Ltd in November 2021.
