Tailwater Dental Partners has acquired Cool Springs Laser Dentistry, a 40-year-old Brentwood, Tennessee dental practice. The transaction allows Cool Springs Laser Dentistry founder Dr. Kellye Rice to secure long-term operational support while preserving clinical autonomy.
Founded in 1986, Cool Springs Laser Dentistry specializes in advanced laser dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, temporomandibular joint therapy and comprehensive patient-centered care. Dr. Rice is one of approximately 250 NightLase®-certified dentists in the United States and is the sole provider on staff.
Tailwater Dental Partners is a Nashville, Tennessee-based dental services organization that partners with dentists to deliver operational support, growth resources and long-term wealth-building opportunities while maintaining practice identity and clinical autonomy.
The transaction was advised by Dental Pitch Advisory & Brokerage, with Managing Director Jason Brown representing Dr. Rice throughout the process. Dr. Rice will continue leading the practice. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro, there have been 220 Physician Medical Group (PMG) transactions announced since the start of the year, including 100 dental deals. There were 523 PMG deals reported in 2025, including 251 in the dental market. Additionally, PMG volume in 2026 accounts for almost 26% of the 843 healthcare transactions that have been announced so far in 2026.
