Clutch has acquired Perx Health’s U.S. operations, expanding its AI-powered Clutch Health platform with clinically validated behavioral engagement technology. The deal adds gamification, personalized incentives and real-time nudges designed to improve medication adherence, chronic condition management and treatment plan completion. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Perx Health’s mobile platform has achieved medication adherence rates of 80-85% and strong engagement among complex patients managing multiple chronic conditions. It supports flexible task-based programs, configurable rewards, biometric tracking and enterprise reporting. The acquisition follows Clutch’s 2025 purchase of Reciprocity Health and integrates Perx’s capabilities with Clutch’s AI personalization engine and Reciprocity’s incentive science.
Perx Health CEO Scott Taylor and the Perx Health team will operate within Clutch Health, with Taylor reporting directly to Clutch CEO Craig Hauben. The team will continue serving existing customers while expanding the platform’s reach across Clutch Health’s customer base. The combined Clutch Health platform now offers a full suite of engagement tools serving health plans, providers, value-based care organizations and employers, with seamless integration into electronic health records, pharmacy networks and care management systems.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 86th eHealth acquisition of the year, and the 11th in the patient engagement subsector. The patient engagement specialty is the third most active eHealth specialty of the year so far, trailing behind medical practice management software (25 deals) and revenue cycle management (18 deals). Throughout 2025, 301 eHealth and 44 patient engagement transactions were announced.
