Arete Health, a physical therapy platform backed by MBF Healthcare Partners, acquired Virginia Rehabilitation & Wellness and Summerville Physical Therapy & Balance for Adults, expanding its footprint across Virginia and South Carolina. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed. The additions increase Arete Health’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast and bring its network to 16 outpatient rehabilitation clinics.
The acquired practices provide outpatient physical therapy and balance-focused rehabilitation services, adding clinical capacity and geographic reach to Arete Health’s platform.
The deals follow prior expansion activity by Arete Health as it continues to scale its outpatient rehabilitation platform under private equity ownership. The company has pursued a multi-state growth strategy focused on clustering clinics in targeted regions to drive operational integration and market share.
