US Fertility, a portfolio company of L Catterton and Amulet Capital Partners, announced that it acquired Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group (PREG).
PREG is a network of leading fertility practices and IVF laboratories. It operates out of six locations in North and South Carolina. According to its website, there are 10 physicians on staff.
US Fertility is one of the nation’s largest partnerships of physician-owned and physician-led fertility practices. US Fertility provides advanced fertility care through more than 100 clinic locations and 32 IVF laboratories. To date, US Fertility has helped 200,000 individuals and couples build their families through assisted reproductive technology through its fertility services.
With the addition of PREG, US Fertility will now include more than 200 reproductive endocrinologists across 120 locations nationwide. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 49th Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2026, and the second in the OB/GYN specialty. Additionally, this marks the 24th PMG transaction of the year that has been completed by a private equity group and/or one of their portfolio companies.
