On November 19, Kooth announced that it is acquiring U.S.-based pediatric digital health company Kismet Health‘s telehealth platform. The platform has been designed with interactive, age-appropriate tools to enhance engagement during teletherapy, primarily for children aged 5-12.

Kooth is a leading provider of digital mental health services. The company offers a wide range of therapeutic tools to help children and young people and support their mental wellbeing.

Kooth will acquire Kismet’s intellectual property along with four key Kismet team members with significant clinical, product and technical experience who will deliver the telehealth platform as part of Kooth’s existing operations. The acquisition fits with Kooth’s strategy of expanding its services to access a wider range of payers and funding opportunities by adding new capabilities for the 12 and under age group.

Furthermore, Kismet’s pipeline includes several U.S. states where Kooth is not currently active, enabling Kooth to grow its existing pipeline. In particular, Kismet’s telehealth platform can help digital mental health services in rural areas, where in-person therapy is either unavailable or prohibitively expensive.

The financial details of the transaction are not material and have not been disclosed. Kooth does not expect any change to its current financial expectations.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 274th eHealth acquisition of 2025, and the 46th in the telehealth specialty. Telehealth is the second most active eHealth specialty of the year, following only revenue cycle management with 50 deals. The medical practice management software and analytics specialties follow close behind with 45 and 37 deals, respectively. The telehealth specialty makes up approximately 17% of all eHealth deals announced since January. There were 43 telehealth transactions reported in 2024.
