Care Advantage, one of the largest privately owned home care companies in the Mid-Atlantic, announced on November 14 that it acquired Attentive Angels Home Care.
Attentive Angels Home Care is a full-service, non-medical home care agency based in Columbia, South Carolina. The company offers in-home care services to seniors, individuals with cognitive disabilities and those recovering from surgery. It serves Richland, Lexington, Fairfield, Sumter, Kershaw, Clarendon and surrounding counties.
Care Advantage has more than 40 locations throughout Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina. Core service areas include personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting), household help (meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping) and companionship (conversation and company, emotional support, socialization). It was founded in 1988.
The addition of Attentive Angels marks Care Advantage’s entry into South Carolina, strengthening its growing regional footprint. Terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 90th Home Health & Hospice (HH&H) transaction announced since the start of 2025. There were 97 HH&H deals announced throughout 2024, 100 announced in 2023 and 116 announced in 2022.
This is also Care Advantage’s first acquisition of the year. Its most recent transaction was the acquisition of Nova Home Health Care, based in Fairfax, Virginia, in late 2023.
