AmSurg Corp., backed by Ascension, announced that it acquired Surgery Center of Conway. Physician Transaction Advisors (formally ASCs Inc.) advised Surgery Center of Conway. Terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2019, the Surgery Center of Conway is a physician-owned, ophthalmology and retina-focused ambulatory surgery center in Conway, South Carolina.
AmSurg Corp. is an independent leader in ASC services, operating a network of approximately 250 surgery centers nationwide. In partnership with physicians and health systems, the organization delivers patient care across a diverse spectrum of medical specialties, including gastroenterology, ophthalmology and orthopedics.
This marks AmSurg’s third acquisition of 2025; previously, it purchased an outpatient surgery center in Covington, Louisiana as well as an outpatient surgery center in Texarkana, Texas.
