Agile Occupational Medicine has announced the acquisition of California Occupational Physicians in Modesto, California. This acquisition accelerates Agile’s California expansion strategy following its merger with Akeso Occupational Health in July 2025. With the addition of this clinic, Agile now has 44 locations throughout California and Arizona.
California Occupational Physicians is an occupational healthcare provider. The company offers a comprehensive range of occupational health programs, including DOT physicals, drug screenings and workplace injury treatment, that help employers maintain a healthy, safe workforce while providing cost-effective care.

Epstein, Becker & Green served as legal counsel to Agile. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the eighth occupational health transaction of 2025. Other acquirers in the space this year have been Concentra, Spire Healthcare, H.I.G. Capital and Optima Health. There were 11 occupational health deals announced during 2024, 19 announced in 2023 and 10 announced in 2022.
