CrossMed Healthcare Staffing announced on September 18 that it has acquired Fremont, Nebraska-based Summit Medical Staffing.  

Founded in 2014, Summit Medical Staffing is a veteran and employee-owned healthcare staffing agency. The company provides staffing resources to healthcare providers, hospitals and clinics nationwide. 

CrossMed Healthcare Staffing is a women-owned healthcare staffing firm based in Omaha, Nebraska. Founded in 2019, CrossMed serves travel nurses, allied health professionals, locum tenens and facilities across the country. 

The acquisition strengthens CrossMed’s clinician network, providing healthcare clients with access to a broader pool of skilled professionals ready to meet their healthcare staffing needs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 22nd Healthcare Staffing acquisition of 2025, and the first in Nebraska this year. This represents a 40% increase over the 15 deals that were announced between January 1, 2024, and September 18, 2024. There were 26 Healthcare Staffing deals announced throughout all of 2024.
