PracticeSuite announced that it has successfully acquired Youngstown, Ohio-based MicroMD.
MicroMD delivers a mature electronic health record (EHR) platform with intuitive, customizable features that enhance efficiency, care delivery and patient satisfaction. Since it was founded in 1982, MicroMD has served thousands of physicians across primary care and specialty disciplines.
PracticeSuite provides an end-to-end medical office solution that helps physicians operate at the highest level of efficiency and allows patients to interact with the office electronically, including electronic check-in and e-payments.
The transaction closed in 2024. As a subsidiary of PracticeSuite, MicroMD continues to serve its customer base without disruption, benefiting from PracticeSuite’s technology expertise and higher-quality service. In addition, both customer bases are now able to secure a broad practice solution fully integrated between PracticeSuite and MicroMD. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 231st eHealth transaction of 2025, and the 13th in the EHR specialty. There were 12 EHR deals announced in 2024, and 16 announced in 2023.
