Women’s Health Arizona announced on September 11 that it launched and acquired Solara Neonatal, which will serve as a neonatal division. Solara has seven board-certified neonatologists and 50 neonatal nurse practitioners on staff.
The original press release notes that a key innovation within Solara Neonatal is its Virtual Neonatal Support Program (VINES) a post-discharge care initiative that provides provider follow-up visits to families after NICU discharge. To date, more than 2,000 visits have been completed, with 76% of participating parents reporting that the VINES visit prevented an emergency department or urgent care visit.
Women’s Health Arizona is the largest OB-GYN practice in the state of Arizona. Founded by physicians in 2007, the practice is dedicated to providing exceptional women’s healthcare through its branch offices and Valley-wide locations. It has more than 170 providers across multiple locations.
This strategic move brings 57 experienced neonatal providers under the Women’s Health Arizona umbrella, reinforcing a unified, patient-centered care model that includes obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine and now neonatology.
Solara Neonatal will officially launch on September 10, 2025, and continue serving major health systems, including Banner Health and Abrazo Community Health Network.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this represents the 339th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025 and the 11th in the pediatrics specialty. There were four pediatric transactions announced in 2024.
