MB2 Dental Solutions, a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus and Charlesbank Capital Partners, announced that it entered into its 10th acquisition of 2025 with the purchase of Tidewater Laser Perio and Implants.
Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Tidewater Laser Perio and Implants is run by Dr. Kenneth J. Cavallari, DDS, who is supported by a team of 10, including four surgical technicians.
MB2 Dental Solutions partners with dentists and specialists. Founded in 2007, MB2 offers general dentistry services, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. Since 2021, it has been part of Charlesbank Capital Partners’ network. In November 2024, Warburg Pincus invested in the company.
This marks MB2 Dental’s first transaction in Virginia for the year. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 317th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025 and the 161st in the dental specialty. There were 242 dental transactions announced in 2024, and 180 in 2023.
Additionally, MB2 Dental has acquired a total of 19 dental practices since the start of 2025. It has acquired practices in California, Oregon, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, New York, Maryland, Washington, Illinois, Missouri, Hawaii, Texas, Ohio, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In 2024, MB2 Dental made 48 acquisition announcements in the dental space.
