Custom Health, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Tulsa, Oklahoma-based PatchRx, Inc.
PatchRx is a medication adherence and remote monitoring technology company. PatchRx’s patented PatchCap smart pill bottle cap technology is utilized in clinics and pharmacies across the United States to monitor and enhance patient adherence remotely.
Custom Health connects people with community pharmacists to manage drug complexity and maximize health benefits through personalized med delivery, virtual monitoring and proactive care. The company’s automated hubs, proprietary health platform and medication adherence network power a scalable solution to chronic condition management that leads to better health outcomes and cost of care reduction.
The acquisition brings PatchRx’s medication adherence under Custom Health’s connected care platform of vertically integrated, end-to-end patient care solutions.
As part of this transaction, PatchRx’s co-founders, Andrew Aertker and Gavin Buchanan, along with key employees in sales, engineering and finance, will join Custom Health. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 205th eHealth acquisition of 2025, and the 20th in the RPM specialty. There were 24 RPM acquisitions announced in 2024, and 22 announced in 2023.
