BGO and Anchor Health Properties announced the acquisition of a Class A, two-story, 40,785-square-foot medical outpatient building (MOB) located in Montclair, New Jersey, a submarket of New York City. 

Built in 2021, the MOB, called Seymour Plaza, was built to spec for Summit Health. Designed as a comprehensive multi-specialty hub, Seymour Plaza offers a wide range of services, including allergy and immunology, audiology, ear nose and throat, lab, OBGYN, pediatrics, primary care, bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, general surgery, imaging, orthopedics, podiatry, pulmonology and thoracic surgery. The property features more than 60 exam rooms supporting multiple service lines, and a five-story parking garage provides on-site parking for patients and visitors.

Established in 1985, Anchor Health Properties is a national, full-service healthcare real estate development, management and investment company focused exclusively on healthcare facilities. Anchor has more than $2 billion of completed development projects, 9 million square feet under management and $3.2 billion invested in stabilized healthcare facilities.

This deal represents the second joint venture acquisition for BGO and Anchor Health Properties and expands their footprint in the New York MSA. In May 2024, the two firms jointly acquired a 70,418-square-foot MOB in Sarasota, Florida for $32 million.

The CBRE team of Jeffrey Dunne, Doug Rodio and Travis Langer, in collaboration with Brannan Knott and Chris Bodnar of CBRE’s U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets team, represented the undisclosed seller. Anchor Health Properties will provide go forward asset and property management services to the joint venture for this investment. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 67th MOB acquisition of 2025, and the second in New Jersey for the year. There were 212 MOB deals announced during 2024, 198 announced during 2023 and 215 announced during 2022.
