Straine Dental Management (SDM) announced that it expanded into its 15th state with the acquisition of SmileArts Dental. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SmileArts Dental has two locations in Oklahoma: Yukon and Oklahoma City. According to its website, there are two physicians on staff.
SDM is a dentist-owned, dentist-led dental services organization based in Sacramento, California. SDM has more than 35 affiliated practices.
This marks SDM’s third acquisition of 2025. Previously, the company purchased practices in Arizona, South Carolina, Texas and Missouri.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 115th Physician Medical Group (PMG) acquisition of 2025, and the 52nd in the dental specialty. In 2024, there were 242 dental transactions reported and 180 in 2023.
