Elite365, backed by private equity Regal Healthcare Capital Partners, has announced its acquisition of Proxi Dental Staffing, a Plano, Texas-based provider of dental staffing services.
Launched in 2022, Proxi staffs dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, endodontists and orthodontists nationwide for locum tenens, locum to perm and permanent placement.
According to the March 21 deal press release, Proxi counts about $6 million in annual revenue, and its nine internal employees make about 350 locums and perm placements annually.
Elite365 is a healthcare staffing firm with offices in Irving, Texas, and Tampa, Florida. It currently has more than 3,000 facilities in its network.
The Proxi brand will remain and act as the dental staffing division/service line for Elite365. Co-Founder and CEO Mark McGuire will stay with the firm in the position of senior VP of dental staffing, while Proxi’s other co-founder, Lindsay Harris, will not remain with the firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This deal follows Elite365’s acquisition of Dawsonville, Georgia-based Kobor MedSearch in August 2023, and its acquisition of Rockville, Maryland-based Critical Connection announced in August 2024.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the eighth healthcare staffing transaction of 2025, and the second announced during March. Earlier in the month, Prime Time Healthcare acquired AB Staffing of Gilbert, Arizona for an undisclosed price. There were 26 healthcare staffing deals announced during 2024, 29 announced during 2023 and 35 announced during 2022.
