Brentwood, Tennessee-based EvidenceCare announced that it has acquired Agathos in Boulder, Colorado. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Agathos is a healthcare IT and physician analytics company. Its mission is to organize health data, generate care insights and improve patient outcomes.
EvidenceCare is the leading clinical decision support system with an electronic health record-integrated platform that optimizes clinician workflows to deliver better patient care, reduce hospital costs and capture more revenue.
This marks EvidenceCare’s second acquisition in its history. The company also acquired Healthcare Value Analytics in 2021. That deal was how EvidenceCare was introduced to Agathos, and EvidenceCare CEO Bo Bartholomew has spent the last three years getting to know its founders.
“Now was the perfect time because Agathos was ready to do the deal we have been talking about in years past,” Bartholomew said. “Secondly, our clients that we have had for many, more than five years, were asking for the next set of value creating products. Our need to deliver for our clients and Agathos’ need to partner made the stars align.”
According to Bartholomew, EvidenceCare has experienced greater than 50% year-over-year revenue growth over the last four years, and just closed on a $10 million round of Series B funding, led by Orlando Health Ventures and Rockmont Partners. Part of the funding was used for the acquisition.
According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 63rd eHealth acquisition of 2025, and the ninth in the analytics specialty. There were 30 analytics transactions reported in 2024, and 35 reported in 2023.
