OrthoCarolina announced that it is selling its physical therapy business to PT Solutions. OrthoCarolina is one of the nation’s largest independently owned orthopedic practices, employing almost 300 physical therapists in 24 locations, mostly in the Charlotte, North Carolina MSA.
Founded in 2003, PT Solutions offers an array of physical therapy services spanning outpatient, inpatient, and acute care settings. PT Solutions was acquired by private equity firm General Atlantic in 2022.
The sale will boost the availability of physical therapy services for OrthoCarolina patients. Terms were not disclosed.
According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the fifth Rehabilitation transaction of 2025. There were 46 Rehabilitation acquisitions reported in 2024, and 51 reported in 2023.
