On January 10, Heartland Dental announced its first acquisition of 2025 with the purchase of Garners Ferry Dentistry.
Garners Ferry Dentistry is a dental practice with one location in Columbia, South Carolina. The practice is led by Anna Fuller, DMD. Services offered include general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, extractions, dentures and root canals.
Heartland Dental is a dental support organization providing non-clinical, administrative support services with more than 2,600 doctors in more than 1,650 locations across 38 states. The company is majority-owned by KKR, a global investment firm.
This transaction expands Heartland Dental’s presence in South Carolina. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 17th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2025 and the fifth in the dental specialty. In 2024, Heartland Dental announced 15 dental practice acquisitions.
