On December 9 BayCare Medical Group announced that it acquired two physician practices in the Tampa, Florida MSA.
Pediatric Cardiology Associates is a medical group practice specializing in pediatric cardiology. Its 11 physicians provide services from principal offices in Tampa and St. Petersburg.
Tampa Bay Adult Congenital Heart Center provides cardiology care out of one location in Tampa, Florida. The number of providers on staff was not provided.
Part of BayCare Health System, BayCare Medical Group is a provider group in Western Florida. BayCare Health System is a leading not-for-profit health care system that connects individuals and families to a wide range of services at 16 hospitals and hundreds of other convenient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and central Florida regions.
The transition involves more than a dozen physicians and advanced practice providers and a total of about 60 team members. The financial terms were not disclosed.

According to data in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 447th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of 2024, and the 13th in the cardiology specialty. In 2023, there were 30 cardiology transactions reported.
