PAM Health announced its acquisition of Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital, effective December 3, 2024. The hospital will now operate as PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Greater Indiana North.
Based in New Albany, Indiana, Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The New Albany facility holds certifications from The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It has 60 beds.
Founded in 2006, PAM Health, formerly Post Acute Medical, is a healthcare company that provides post-acute care services for patients with injuries, illnesses and disabilities. PAM Health has facilities in multiple states, including several in Texas.
Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Hospital will continue providing specialized care for patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, such as traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, strokes, amputations, orthopedic conditions and post-surgical recovery.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 41st Rehabilitation transaction of 2024. There were 51 Rehabilitation deals announced during 2023 and 82 announced during 2022. This also marks PAM Health’s first acquisition of 2024. The company had previously sold three rehabilitation hospitals in December 2021.
