Latus Group, backed by private equity firm NorthEdge, announced on October 22 the completion of its acquisition of OH Services, a regional provider of occupational health services.
OH Services delivers highly specialized medical assessments tailored to the needs of the oil and gas, maritime and safety critical industries. It operates from two clinic locations in the United Kingdom: Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire.
Latus Group works with businesses across a range of sectors to help people achieve healthier working lives through proactive, preventative healthcare that supports regulatory compliance, improves colleague health and wellbeing and enhances employee engagement.
The acquisition of OH Services is designed to further strengthen the Latus proposition, broadening the medical expertise across the group, creating additional capacity for the combined customer base and increasing geographical reach. It also provides the business with greater access to the strategic markets of maritime, offshore renewables and oil and gas.
Following the acquisition, Latus plans to invest in additional strategic locations, including Aberdeen and Norwich, to service these industries on a national scale. Existing OH Services clients will benefit from access to a broader range of services through the Latus Group, as well as its digital health platform, Yodha, which enables mobile health surveillance and remote healthcare delivery. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, there have been nine occupational health deals announced so far this year. There were 19 occupational health deals announced during 2023, and 10 announced during 2022.
