On September 10, Confluent Health announced its latest partnership with Fitness Quest Physical Therapy, a physical therapy company with 16 clinics across Southwest Florida.
Fitness Quest Physical Therapy has been providing rehabilitative services to patients in the Southwest Florida area since 1998. The company offers a comprehensive range of services, including orthopedic and sports physical therapy, total joint replacement rehabilitation, work-related injury therapy, pre/post-surgical rehabilitation, women’s and men’s pelvic health, neuro rehabilitation, gait and balance therapy, lymphedema therapy and auto accident injury recovery.
Confluent Health, a portfolio company of Swiss-based private equity firm Partners Group, is a family of physical and occupational therapy companies transforming healthcare by strengthening private practices, developing highly effective clinicians, innovating new services and technology to improve the quality of care for patients and lowering costs via more effective treatment, workplace wellness and injury prevention.
This partnership will allow Fitness Quest to maintain its established brand while benefiting from Confluent Health’s robust management services, talent development and practice enablement resources. The partnership expands Confluent Health’s national footprint to more than 1,500 sites of care in 36 states. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This marks Confluent’s second deal announcement of 2024. In May 2024, the company acquired Access Physical Therapy & Wellness in York, Pennsylvania for an undisclosed price. Confluent announced three acquisitions during 2023, and six during 2022. Confluent’s only other Florida deal was announced in October 2021 when the company acquired TLC Rehab in Ocala.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 27th Rehabilitation deal announced so far during 2024. This is a 27% decrease from last year, when 37 Rehabilitation transactions were announced between January 1, 2023, and September 10, 2023.
