Fort Worth, Texas-based Palm Primary Care, part of the MBF Healthcare Partners II, L.P. portfolio, announced on September 4 the acquisition of MetHealth PA.
MetHealth PA is a multi-physician primary care practice in Haltom City, Texas. The practice is led by Dr. Mai V Hoang and Dr. Tuan H. Nguyen, two family medicine physicians who have served the area for more than 20 years.
Founded in 2013, Palm Medical Centers is a provider of value-based primary care services operating a total network of 44 medical centers in Florida and Texas. Palm Medical Centers serves more than 80,000 combined patients under value-based arrangements with health plans offering Medicare Advantage, managed Medicaid and Health Insurance Marketplace products. In addition to primary care services, the company coordinates patient care for cardiology, dentistry, optometry, pediatrics, podiatry, psychiatry and other specialist services.
“We are proud to welcome Dr. Hoang, Dr. Nguyen, and their staff into the Palm family,” says Fowad Choudhry, CEO of Palm. “Their loyal patient base will continue to receive the high-quality care that they are used to, along with several added benefits that the Palm network provides with its managed care model. We are also excited to announce that we will immediately begin construction on additional space for the practice to foster continued growth to support the needs of the Haltom City community.”
With this acquisition, Palm now operates six primary care clinics in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth MSA. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 339th Physician Medical Group acquisition of 2024, and the 22nd in the internal medicine specialty. This also marks Palm’s second transaction of 2024; in February, the company purchased two primary care practices in Texas.
