Springville, Utah-based ATL Technology has announced its acquisition of MDCM Solutions. According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 21st contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) transaction of 2024. There were 21 CDMO deals announced during 2023, and 38 announced during 2022.
MDCM Solutions is a medical device contract manufacturing company based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The company specializes in complex catheter technologies used to manufacture minimally invasive medical devices.
ATL Technology is a global leader in medical device CDMO services. The company offers custom disposable medical cables and devices, custom medical and industrial connectors, wire extrusion and turnkey original design and manufacturing products. In 2020, Portland, Oregon-based private equity firm Endeavour Capital invested in ATL to provide partial liquidity to existing shareholders and supply capital for growth initiatives, including acquisitions.
The ATL Minnesota site will serve as a knowledge hub for complex catheter extrusion, braiding and coiling, FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) heat shrink, product development and process development and qualification for ATL Technology’s global operations. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
