SAIGroup announced on July 9 the acquisition of Get Well, a Bethesda, Maryland-based provider of digital patient engagement.
Get Well’s digital engagement tools connect patients to the information they need, when they need it, providing scalable operational efficiencies to hospitals, health systems, payers and other risk-bearing entities. Get Well currently facilitates more than 10 million patient interactions annually across more than 1,000 healthcare organizations.
Founded in 2017, SAIGroup is a private equity firm based in Palo Alto, California. The firm focuses on artificial intelligence software companies. SAIGroup seeks majority acquisitions of software, data, analytics and tech-enabled service businesses.
This acquisition strengthens SAIGroup’s presence in the AI-powered healthcare landscape. Get Well joins SAIGroup’s portfolio alongside ConcertAI (clinical AI and real-world data) and RhythmX AI (personalized care solutions). As part of the acquisition, SAIGroup Founder and CEO Dr. Romesh Wadhwani will assume the role of Chairman at Get Well, while Michael O’Neil remains Get Well’s CEO. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 128th eHealth transaction of 2024, and the 17th in the patient engagement specialty. There were 17 patient engagement deals announced during 2023, and 43 announced during 2022.
