Arcadia announced on June 27 that it has acquired CareJourney. The transaction strengthens Arcadia’s position as a trusted partner for leading healthcare brands like Southwestern Health Resources, Tandigm, Castell, Rush Health and Beth Israel Lahey Health.

CareJourney is an Arlington, Virginia-based provider of cost and quality data that covers more than 300 episodes of care across more than 50 specialties and subspecialties. CareJourney derives market-leading analytics from Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and Commercial claims data across more than 300 million beneficiaries and more than 2 million providers nationwide. Payers, providers and employers can use these actionable insights to accelerate growth and improve performance.

Arcadia’s cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant population health platform is purpose-built with best-in-class big data technology to support high availability data ingestion, computation and storage. Clients include health plans, healthcare providers and employer groups.

This acquisition blends Arcadia’s next-generation healthcare data platform, proprietary analytics and workflow tools with CareJourney’s cost, quality and benchmark data. With the acquisition, Arcadia’s customer portfolio grows to nearly 200, encompassing providers, payers, government agencies and life science companies. Moving forward, CareJourney will become CareJourney by Arcadia.

As part of the acquisition, Arcadia welcomes CareJourney’s employees, and appoints Aneesh Chopra as Chief Strategy Officer of Arcadia, Dan Ross as President of CareJourney by Arcadia and Kevin Sheldon as Chief Operating Officer of CareJourney by Arcadia.
