DuPont announced it has signed an agreement to acquire New Brighton, Minnesota-based Donatelle Plastics. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter 2024, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions and receipt of regulatory approvals.
Donatelle Plastics is a medical device contract manufacturer specializing in the design, development and manufacture of medical components and devices. Founded in 1967, Donatelle Plastics has a workforce of more than 400 employees and operates a facility strategically located in a medical technologies hub near leading original equipment manufacturers.
DuPont is an American multinational company that produces various products including chemicals, synthetic fibers, petroleum and agricultural chemicals. It was founded in 1802 by Éleuthère Irénée du Pont, a French immigrant and chemist, who imported gunpowder machinery from France. According to recent financial reports, DuPont’s revenue during full year 2023 was approximately $12.1 billion USD, and EBITDA was $1.89 billion.
Ballard Spahr LLP served as legal advisor to DuPont. Piper Sandler served as financial advisor and Fredrikson & Byron P.A. served as legal advisor to Donatelle. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
