Straine Dental Management (SDM) announced that it expanded into its 14th state with the acquisition of three practices, all owned by Dr. Shilo Annis. The transaction was facilitated by Triumphant Transition Partners.
Breakwater Dental operates out of one location in South Portland, Maine. In addition to general dentistry services, the practice offers cosmetic dentistry care, orthodontic care, veneers and implants. Mountain View Dentistry is based out of Bridgton, Maine. The practice offers preventative dental care, cosmetic oral care in addition to general dentistry. Tory Hill Dental has one location in Buxton, Maine. It specializes in restorative dentistry.
SDM is a dentist-owned, dentist-led dental services organization based in Sacramento, California. It has more than 35 affiliated practices.
With these acquisitions, SDM adds four providers to its network. The financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 244th Physician Medical Group transaction of 2024 and the 124th deal in the dental specialty. This is also SDM’s fourth acquisition of 2024. Previously, the company acquired practices in Florida, Arkansas and California.
