On June 8, Shannon Medical Center announced that it entered into an agreement to acquire River Crest Hospital, an 80-bed medical center focused on behavioral health and based in San Angelo, Texas. The seller was Universal Health Services, Inc.
Shannon Medical Center, also located in San Angelo, Texas, is a medical center offering comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. It is part Shannon Health System. Shannon Health System provides patients with access to more than 350 providers in more than 40 medical specialties across multiple locations in Texas.
This acquisition will help expand Shannon Medical Center’s presence in the area. The financial terms were not disclosed.
