Affidea, a Pan-European medical services provider, announced that it is expanding its presence in Romania with the acquisition of three Explora Group clinics. Explora Group is medical provider in the northern region of the country, offering advanced diagnostic imaging examinations and a comprehensive range of medical consultations.
Affidea, formerly known as Euromedic, provides advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services. Founded in 1991, Affidea’s network reaches 355 centers across 15 European countries, working with more than 11,200 professionals and seeing more than 11 million patients every year.
“In response to the growing demand for medical services in the Moldova region, we chose to integrate Explora Group into our network,” said Razvan Predica CEO of Affidea Romania and Affidea Magyarország. “Affidea is set to leverage its expertise and technological advancements to ensure the highest standard of care is available to our patients in the shortest possible time.”
The acquisition expands Affidea’s presence in Romania to 53 medical centers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the fifth health clinic acquisition of 2024. There were 39 health clinic deals announced during 2023, and 25 during 2022.
