Premier Radiology Services announced that it is acquiring Specialists in Diagnostic Imaging, LLC, doing business as NationalRad, a leading provider of subspecialty teleradiology services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1999, NationalRad provides diagnostic services for outpatient imaging centers, orthopedic practices, university healthcare systems and professional sports teams.
Founded in 2006, Premier Radiology Services is one of the top independent teleradiology solutions in the United States. Premier provides reliable and accurate interpretations of medical images to patients in 48 states through its technology-enabled platform. With a network of approximately 100 radiologists, Premier interprets nearly 2 million medical images per year for a diverse range of customers, including mobile imaging providers, occupational health centers, urgent care providers and outpatient clinics. The company was acquired by private equity firm Grovecourt Capital Partners in June 2023.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 17th Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis acquisition of the year, and the ninth in the diagnostics specialty. During 2023, there were 125 Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis and 63 diagnostic transactions announced.
