Complete Health, a portfolio company of private equity group Pharos Capital Group, announced on January 18 that it was expanding its Alabama footprint with the acquisition of Cullman Primary Care, PC.
Cullman Primary Care is a 15-physician internal medicine and primary care practice operating out of six locations in Alabama.
With more than 20 locations across Alabama and Florida, Complete Health partners with physician medical groups (PMGs) to provide practice and technology support driven by value-based care concepts. Complete Health has more than 130 health care providers and 800 employees caring for more than 150,000 patients.
With this acquisition, Complete Health will now operate 20 locations in the state of Alabama. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 23rd PMG transaction of the year, and the second in the internal medicine specialty. So far in 2024, 61% of PMG transactions have been completed by private equity buyers, which is on par with other years. This is Complete Health’s first deal of 2024.
