Operose Health is a network of nearly 60 primary care practices across the United Kingdom. The company has been a significant player in the NHS primary care market, providing essential healthcare services to numerous patients.
Previously known as Virgin Care, HCRG Care Group is one of the United Kingdom’s largest providers of community health and care services. It partners with the NHS to provide primary and dermatological care as well as pathway and diagnostic services.
The deal is expected to impact the operational landscape of healthcare providers and may lead to changes in the provision of primary care services.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition marks the 497th Physician Medical Group transaction of 2023, and the 46th in the internal medicine specialty. This is a 28% increase from the year before when 36 internal medicine acquisitions were reported between January 1, 2022, and December 13, 2022.
