Thrive Precision Health announced on November 17 that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Heal Diabetes, which operates two diabetes clinics in Hawaii. The clinics are located in Honolulu and Waianae and have treated more than 350 patients in 2023. 

Thrive Precision Health, formerly Thrive Global Biosafety and China New Energy Group Company, is building a global diabetes care powerhouse. The company is starting or acquiring healthcare clinics specializing in diabetes care and bringing in cutting-edge technologies to to improve the quality of care provided at the clinic. 

Thrive Precision Health, alongside its subsidiary Thrive Testing and Biosafety Inc., will acquire the two diabetes clinics in Hawaii with the plan to expand to 20 clinics. 

Additionally, Heal Diabetes plans to open two more clinics in early 2024. The first one, in Waipahu, will accommodate a waitlist of 200 patients. The second new clinic, in Waianae, will serve more than 4,500 diabetic patients through network referrals. Thrive Precision Health will start with the two operational clinics and work to fund the startup of the next two clinics in Q1 2024. 

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 33rd health clinic transaction of the year. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
