Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC announced on November 16 that it is expanding its imaging services with the addition of Association of Alexandria Radiologists to its portfolio.
Association of Alexandria Radiologists is an imaging practice with locations in Alexandria and Woodbridge, Virginia. According to its website, the practice has 29 radiologists on staff.
Fairfax Radiology Centers is a provider of radiology services that serves the Washington, D.C. MSA. It was established in 1965 and is one of the largest private radiology providers in the area. According to its website, it has more than 90 physicians on staff and operates out of 19 locations.
Following the completion of the transaction, which is expected to happen in January, Fairfax Radiology Centers will employ more than 115 trained physicians. Association of Alexandria Radiologists plans to rebrand as Fairfax Radiology Centers. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 112th Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis acquisition of the year. This is an approximately 7% decrease from the year before when 120 Laboratories, MRI and Dialysis transactions were reported between January 1, 2022, and November 16, 2022.
