Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches (MSPB) announced on November 13 the acquisition of Tequesta Family Medical Center, LLC. The acquisition expands MSPB’s footprint in northern Palm Beach County and builds on its growing concierge practice.
With one provider on staff, Tequesta Family Medical Center is a medical practice offering concierge medicine in Tequesta, Florida.
Backed by Ascend Partners, MSPB is a primary care-focused, multi-specialty physician group practice in South Florida. MSPB has a team of more than 110 providers across more than 37 offices in Palm Beach and Broward counties and offers primary care, cardiology, interventional cardiology, neurology, hematology and oncology, gastroenterology, colorectal surgery, concierge medicine and laboratory services.
This marks the fifth transaction for MSPB in 2023. The company previously made acquisitions in and around Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach and Boynton Beach. The acquisition of Tequesta Family Medical Center also represents MSPG’s first transaction in the Tequesta/Jupiter area. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 453rd Physician Medical Groups (PMG) acquisition of 2023. This is an approximate 16% decrease from last year, when 539 PMG acquisitions were reported between January 1, 2022, and November 13, 2022.
