Provident Healthcare Partners announced on November 9 that it advised Mid-Florida Hematology and Oncology, doing business as Mid-Florida Cancer Centers (MFCC), in signing a partnership agreement with OneOncology.
MFCC offers patients medical oncology, hematology and radiation oncology services, as well as the convenience of an in-office lab, oral pharmacy and advanced medical imaging services, including PET/CT. According to its website, the practice has 11 providers caring for patients at four locations in the Orlando MSA. MFCC intends to grow by attracting additional healthcare professionals to practice in the growing Central Florida market and expanding services into adjacent subspecialties.
OneOncology is a national network of independent community oncologists assisting partner practices to expand their cancer care services. The company’s 1,000 cancer care providers care for approximately 615,000 patients at more than 339 locations nationwide. OneOncology was acquired by TPG Capital and AmerisourceBergen from General Atlantic in April 2023.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 441st Physician Medical Group transaction of 2023, 11 of them in the oncology specialty. This also marks OneOncology’s fourth acquisition of 2023, and its third since it was acquired in April.
