Access Healthcare announced on October 12 the acquisition of Richmond, Virginia-based Envera Health, which provides consumer engagement services to connect health systems and physician groups with patients.
Access Healthcare is a Dallas, Texas-based provider of revenue cycle management (RCM) services, specializing in medical billing, coding and accounts receivable management. Access Healthcare’s global delivery engine encompasses more than 27,000 people working from 20 delivery sites across nine cities in the United States, India and the Philippines.
This acquisition broadens Access Healthcare’s service portfolio to include enhanced patient engagement capabilities. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 217th eHealth transaction of 2023, including 13 in the patient engagement specialty. This is a significant decline from last year when there were 286 eHealth and 39 patient engagement transactions announced between January 1, 2022, and October 12, 2022.
