On September 25, PhyNet Dermatology LLC announced its entry into Nevada with the acquisition of Academic Dermatology of Nevada.
Academic Dermatology of Nevada provides high-quality dermatology care out of one location in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson. According to its website, the practice is run by one physician, Dr. Curt Samlaska as well as a support team of four employees.
PhyNet Dermatology, backed by Century Equity Partners, is a dermatology practice management company headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee. With more than 280 network providers at 115 locations in 17 states, PhyNet Dermatology offers administrative management and support that enables physicians to focus their efforts on providing patient care.
With this partnership, Academic Dermatology of Nevada will gain access to PhyNet Dermatology’s resources, including advanced technology and business operations support. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 411th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of the year, 23 of them in the dermatology specialty. This is PhyNet Dermatology’s fourth acquisition of the year, adding 31 physicians to its network.
