On September 25, Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches (MSPB) announced its acquisition of a one-physician practice: Metzger Comprehensive Care.
Metzger Comprehensive Care is a concierge medicine practice in Boca Raton, Florida. The practice is run by Dr. Charles Metzger.
Backed by Ascend Partners, MSPB is a primary care-focused, multi-specialty physician group practice in South Florida. It has a team of more than 95 providers and more than 35 offices across the state.
This transaction is MSPB’s third acquisition in 2023 and adds to MSPB’s concierge services. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 406th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of the year, and the 12th deal in the primary care specialty. Previously in 2023, MSPB acquired Cohen Medical Associates, a primary care practice, and gastroenterology practice Palm Beach Digestive Associates. With the addition of these three practices, MSPB has added 18 physicians to its network.
