Schweiger Dermatology Group, backed by LLR Partners and SV Health Investors, announced its acquisition of Allergy & Asthma Care of New York, expanding into the allergy and asthma industry. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Allergy & Asthma Care of New York is a leading specialist in the management of allergic and immunologic disorders with two locations in Manhattan. The practice was founded by Dr. Clifford W. Bassett in 1993 and today has two physicians on staff.
Founded in 2010, Schweiger Dermatology Group is one of the largest group dermatology practices in the Northeast, with more than 90 offices and more than 300 healthcare providers under its belt. It provides medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology services to more than one million patient visits annually.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction represents the 399th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of the year, and the 13th in the ear, nose & throat specialty. This is also Schweiger Dermatology Group’s third deal of 2023.
