NUWAY Alliance has acquired Ramsey County Care Center as the new location for Cochran Recovery Services (CRS). CRS is a part of NUWAY Alliance.

According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this represents the 148th MOB transaction of 2023. This deal also marks NUWAY’s second transaction of the year. In August, the company acquired Arrigoni East and West, which provides housing for those going through substance abuse recovery programs.

Located in Maplewood, Minnesota, Ramsey County Care Center operated as a nursing home for older adults from 1959 to 2022, when it closed. It features spacious bedrooms, several communal spaces, a full-service commercial kitchen and numerous other amenities.

NUWAY Alliance is a nonprofit organization that provides overarching leadership and management to behavioral health organizations that provide addiction treatment for adults (NUWAY®, Cochran Recovery Services, The Gables) and the NUWAY Recovery Foundation, supporting recovery housing access. NUWAY operates several residential, intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment programs throughout Minnesota.

This transition will not interrupt clients receiving treatment at CRS, nor will it require a pause in accepting new clients. Existing CRS clients will be transported to the new location when it opens. The new location is expected to open in December 2023. NUWAY Alliance plans to continue offering extended residential treatment at its new location. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
