Gruppo San Donato announced on August 25 its acquisition of American Heart of Poland, a health clinic with various locations across Poland. GKSD partnered with Gruppo San Donato for this transaction.
American Heart of Poland manages more than 20 medical centers specializing in cardiology, cardio-surgery and vascular surgery.
Gruppo San Donato is Italy’s largest private healthcare group with 56 medical sites. It has more than 5,500 beds.
According to Masroor Haq, Head of Strategic Investments at investment manager GSKD, the transaction values American Heart of Poland at more than $539 million (€500 million). Mr. Haq also said that, following the completion of the acquisition, Gruppo San Donato’s revenues will top $2.16 billion (€2 billion).
Gruppo San Donato and GKSD were advised by BNP Paribas, while American Heart of Poland was advised by PwC and Clifford Chance.
