MB2 Dental Solutions announced the purchase of four more dental practices; Spoonhower Orthodontics in Uniontown, Ohio; Saginaw and Frankenmuth, Michigan-based MI Journey Orthodontics; Parkway Smiles Dentistry in Woodbridge, Virginia; and Sturz and Abby Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics based out of Bakersfield, California.
These acquisitions follow MB2 Dental’s acquisitions of Forest Hills Family Dentistry and Simon Dentistry, which were announced on August 11.
MB2 Dental Solutions, a portfolio company of Charlesbank Capital Partners since February 2021, partners with dentists and specialists. Founded in 2007, MB2 offers general dentistry services, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. It is based out of Carrollton, Texas.
The financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed. With the addition of these practices, MB2’s presence in Ohio, Michigan, Virginia and California is strengthened and seven providers are added to MB2 Dental’s network.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, 354 Physician Medical Group transactions have been completed since the start of 2023, with 109 of them in the dental specialty. MB2 Dental has completed 35 acquisitions in 2023 (or 32% of dental acquisitions), adding 45 practices and more than 70 providers to its system.
