On August 15 Evergreen Nephrology, a portfolio company of Rubicon Founders, announced that it acquired Nephrology Associates of Central Florida for an undisclosed amount.
Nephrology Associates of Central Florida is a full-service nephrology practice with nine locations across Central Florida. According to its website, the practice has 16 providers on staff.
Evergreen Nephrology partners with nephrologists to provide the financial backing to take on increased cost of care risks associated with value-based care, which offers financial incentives to physicians, health systems and other providers based on quality of care.
The new partnership will offer a multi-dimensional approach for people living with kidney disease, caring for the whole person beyond their physical health.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this transaction marks the 346th Physician Medical Groups acquisition of 2023, and the ninth in the nephrology specialty. This transaction also marks Evergreen Nephrology’s second acquisition of 2023. In July the company added Hypertension Nephrology Associates, P.C., a practice with eight providers in Michigan.
