The US Oncology Network announced the addition of Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) to its network, effective July 1, 2023, by entering into a new managed services partnership.
Cancer Center of Kansas is one of largest physician-owned, independent oncology practices in Kansas. According to its website, the company has 13 physicians and six advanced practice providers, delivering care from 20 sites of service.
Supported by McKesson Corporation, The US Oncology Network provides doctors with access to coordinated resources, best business practices and infrastructure. The company helps more than 1,400 independent physicians care for their patients.
This addition expands The US Oncology Network’s service area into Kansas and continues its growth trajectory. Per the press release, nearly 240 providers have joined The US Oncology Network since the beginning of 2023. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this marks the 291st Physician Medical Group transaction of 2023. This transaction also marks The US Oncology Network’s fourth acquisition of the year. Previously, it acquired Epic Care and Nexus Health in January 2023, followed by Regional Cancer Care Associates in April 2023.
