Kortesis Bharti Management Group, the parent company of H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery, announced its acquisition of Lowcountry Plastic Surgery Center, which has been renamed H/K/B Mount Pleasant. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With one location in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Lowcountry Plastic Surgery Center provides the full range of plastic surgery services, both reconstructive and cosmetic. According to its website, the company has one provider on staff.
Founded in 2021 by plastic surgeons, Dr. Bill Kortesis and Dr. Gaurav Bharti, Kortesis Bharti Management Group offers strategic growth and consulting services to practices and providers in the medical aesthetic space.
Kortesis Bharti Management Group plans to upgrade H/K/B Mount Pleasant’s line of aesthetic offerings. Lowcountry Plastic Surgery Center marks the ninth location for the H/K/B brand, which has four locations in the Charlotte region — in Dilworth, SouthPark, Huntersville and Concord. Its other locations are in Chapel Hill, Greensboro and Dallas, Texas.
This deal follows Kortesis Bharti Management Group’s acquisition of the practice of David B. Reath M.D. PLLC in Knoxville, announced in late May. That practice was renamed to HKB Knoxville P.A., where it also is upgrading services.
