Inova Health System announced on June 6 that it acquired Northern Virginia Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates.
Northern Virginia Pulmonary and Critical Care Associates provides pulmonary care in Virginia. Per its website, the practice is run by nine physicians and one physician assistant. It operates out of two locations.
Inova Health System is a five-hospital system with a total of 1,500 beds, 28 outpatient sites and a home health care agency. According to its FY 2022 earnings report, Inova generated a revenue of $2.7 billion annually during 2022.
This transaction created Inova Pulmonology, a division specializing in lung diseases and related care. The financial terms were not disclosed.
According to data captured in the LevinPro HC database, this acquisition represents the 259th Physician Medical Groups transaction of the year and the 23rd in the internal medicine specialty. This is also Inova Health’s first acquisition of the year.
